- Do I have to book online? For Easter Weekend and special events, yes — booking is essential. For the rest of the season, no, you’re welcome to just turn up.
- Can I bring my dog? Yes, dogs are welcome on the farm.
- Can we bring a picnic? Yes. We have both indoor and outdoor picnic areas, so you’re covered whatever the Irish weather decides to do.
- Is there a discount for visitors with a disability? Yes, and their carer also gets a discount. A valid Carer’s Card is essential to avail of this rate.
- Is there a coffee shop on site? Yes, we have a coffee shop on site serving light refreshments, tea and coffee, sandwiches, muffins and more.
- Is there a public bus service to the farm? No, there isn’t a public bus service to Newgrange Farm.
- Are you open seven days a week? From May to August, yes, we’re open seven days a week. From our first weekend of opening until the end of April, we’re open on weekends only.
- Is there car parking on site? Yes, we have car parking on site.
- What are your opening hours? We’re open 10am–6pm, with last admission at 5pm.
- Do you cater for birthday parties? Yes! Get in touch to find out more — call 086 467 6054.
- Do you do tractor rides? Yes, weather permitting and when we have sufficient numbers.
- Can you buy gift vouchers? Yes, gift vouchers are available. Email info@newgrangefarm.com or phone 041 982 4119, or purchase online via our Vouchers link.
- Are there any special events throughout the season? Yes — we run a full calendar of seasonal events, including Lambing Live in spring, our Easter Weekend sessions, Meadow Mania in our wildflower meadow, and guided archaeological tours in partnership with Mythical Ireland. - Are you open all year round? No. We’re seasonal, open from 20th March to 30th August each year.
- Are you open at Halloween and/or Christmas? No, we’re closed at Halloween and Christmas — our season runs from late March to the end of August.
- When do the animal feeds take place? Lamb feeding happens on the hour, every hour.
- Can we hold the animals? Yes — some of them! Our team will let you know which animals are available to hold during your visit.
